Best BBQ Beans Recipe Ever - BBQ Beans Recipe
This is not my recipe for the Best BBQ Beans, it actually was given to me by my dear sweet neighbor. Now this recipe is sort of wild and free, there is not a lot of actual measurements, so be prepared to have some fun and eat some good beans.
The Ingredients List for BBQ Beans Recipe
You will need the following ingredients, add as much as you like, just be free and have some fun.
- 3 cans of baked beans by Bush’s, different styles- mix all together ( I like Original, Maple Cured Bacon and Country Style )
- Brown Sugar –golden brown lots (about ½ to 1 cup)
- Worcestershire sauce (approximately 2 Tablespoons)
- Garlic salt/powder (go ahead and sprinkle some in, adjust to taste)
- Ketchup (squirt some in, mix it around, not too much, don’t over do)
- BBQ Sauce (add a bunch of squirts, about ½ cup or ¾ cup)
- 1-2 large onions cut up big chunks
- 1 yellow, green and red bell pepper ( cut into chunks)
- 1 pound bacon (cut up in small pieces)
- 1 pound of ground turkey (cook well)
Additional Ingredients
- A nice glass of whatever makes you happy, my favorite cooking wine happens to be Merlot
- Your favorite music to get you groovin’ and feelin’ good
Preparing the BBQ Beans Recipe
Cook bacon, in a frying pan, I love using my cast iron pan, I think it makes my bacon so crispy and yummy, drain grease, add to ground turkey.
Add the rest of the ingredients, mix well and simmer for 1-2 hours or cook in the crockpot overnight.
That’s it, so easy and fun. These beans will be a hit this 4th of July or any summertime picnic and if you need a recipe for easy homemade potato salad, check this recipe from an earlier post.
